Clifford Blouse
Clifford Blouse
Named for queer turn of the century socialite Natalie Clifford Barney this blouse takes inspiration from the gorgeous shirt waists favored by many people of her time. Made in light handkerchief linen with mother of pearl buttons and lace insertion details. The linen softens as you wear and wash it.
I’ve also decided to add the option for a matching bow in linen or black petersham ribbon in a separate listing
I’ve loved getting to play with styling this piece a number of different ways! It’s quickly become one of my favorite styles.
Please note that half of the white blouses will have the spider lace pattern and the other half will have the more floral style! I simply ran out of the deadstock lace I used for them mid production and had to use a slightly different style! I don’t think it impacts the design at all.
Additionally the lace on the Black blouses is slightly wider! and the buttons are a millimeter larger as well. this means there is only one button on the collar instead of two. again I don’t personally think it alters the design significantly.
