The Cuirass corset is meant to evoke the feeling of armor in fabric. The smooth silk brings to mind the polished steel of forged breastplates. I’ve drawn inspiration for this style from Tudor armor, when the craft was at it’s peak. I hope that this corset style can bring the wearer the same sense of power.

This version is made in antique pale gold silk, with German boning, a canvas interlining and cotton lawn lining. The bound edges put me in mind of the rolled edges of steel armor.

These measurements are for the corset laced closed.
