Edwardian net lace blouse
Edwardian net lace blouse
This darling little blouse captured my heart immediately. It was made of the loveliest machine knitted lace and lined with bobbinette. I’m fairly certain it’s all cotton or cotton/linen. The collar is sewn of lace pieces to create a cute scalloped shape. In typical Edwardian waist style it has a tape at the back to help secure the blouse around the waist. The sleeves have itty bitty gathers around the wrists. The knit lace and bobbinette have a little stretch to them, however I wouldn’t want to put her under too much stress. The blouse closes with snaps up the front. She’s in remarkable good wearable shape! Just a few small stains a the back of the neck and a small spot above the heart.
